My name is Lisa the owner and founder of Brooklyn Bridal. Prior to opening my first bridal shop I was a nurse working for the NHS for 13 years. I left the nursing world in April 2018 and shortly after opened my first bridal store. It became apparent that a lot of transferable skills from nursing were relevant in my new found love of selling wedding dresses. Some of the skills used often are compassion, the ability to listen, showing emotion with the brides when hearing form them stories about their life, working with brides undergoing cancer treatment, the list goes on really. There are always tissues available (for all of us) if you cry when you find the one ill probably join you too! 

After months of contemplating a new name for the second premises my Granddaughter was born, a feeling I just cant describe. My daughter and her partner Luke called her Brooklyn-Rae. There it was, from that moment Brooklyn Bridal was born. I cant wait for her to grow up and enjoy coming with Nanny to see all of the pretty dresses.
